IIPM: History, and Founder Director Dr. M.K. Chaudhuri

Year 1963: A proposal by Dr. M.K.Chaudhuri to set up an institute under the name of "Institute for Planning and Administration of National Economy" was forwarded to Pt. Jawahar Lal Nehru, the then Prime Minister and Chairman, Planning Commission, Government of India. The institute was committed to cutting edge research and education on economics, entrepreneurship and management.
